15 Years!

We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary yesterday. It was definitely different with the quarantine, but I am still ever thankful for our years together!
We are hoping to get started on some home improvement projects next week and move closer to selling our house and getting into something bigger for our family!

Blessed

Well, we are almost done with the 2018-19 school year. The kids' have just about a month left. And then we will officially have 3 middle schoolers --- 2 sixth graders and an eighth grader!!

We are hoping to have some fun adventures this summer and do some home improvement projects around the house. So, I am excited for the summer to come, but also enjoying these slower moments before things get a little crazier with the kids being home and our summer schedules.

My sister and her family are coming for a visit at the end of June - beginning of July. We are super excited to see them as it has been over a year since their last visit. We haven't seen them since H was almost 1.5 years old and her youngest was 1.5 months.

I have officially been in business for 1 year (April 1st) and am enjoying it so so much! My clients are the greatest and I am so happy to be where I am. I often find myself remembering back to when I was just starting school AGAIN, thinking how far off my graduation was and if I was making the right choice. Finding out I was pregnant with H only 2 months into that first semester was a hard moment for me. Feeling like I was right back to where I started the first time in college when I became pregnant with C and making the decision to step away for a while....it is so amazing to be able to look back at this last time around or even all the way back to the beginning of my "adult" life and see that God has had a plan all along for me. I am so thankful that I have had the journey that I have had and that I got the opportunity to go back to school and get all the way through it!

Time is fleeting and as each year passes and my "babies" are growing up, I like to slow down and remember where I have come from and the blessings that I have been given in so so many ways.

New Year...New Update!

Let's see...my last post was just over six months ago. Not a whole lot has changed, but we are busy as always and enjoying our time. C is 13 now and enjoying 7th grade. He still enjoys archery, even though we don't have an official team this year at school, he gets to participate in the quarterly tournaments. The next tournament is planned for late February. He and his sisters are playing Jr High basketball this year for the school and the best part, I am their COACH!! We start the first official practices this coming Monday, January 7th, when we return to school from Christmas break.
The girls are doing well in 5th grade. They are 10.5 and enjoying their last year of elementary school. Little man is 2.5 and as wild as ever. He loves filling the day with trains, blocks, and puzzles. He is talking up a storm and I've been trying to keep track of all the new words and phrases he has been saying. He is still home with me every day except for Wednesdays and Thursdays when Dad is home to watch him so I can continue to work outside of the home for some clients.
I started my own Bookkeeping business in April, but didn't officially start looking for clients until the end of August. It is going pretty well and keeping me busy which is amazing and I am very thankful. I started this year with all of my previous employers switching over to clients, so I am officially completely self employed. It is very exciting and rewarding to still do what I love and have the opportunity to be at home more often with the kids. M's business is also doing well and continues to be our main source of income and for that we are extremely blessed. He continues to work hard and is almost through the hardest part of the year with the holidays and new year inventory and planning. He is amazing!

We had the pleasure of enjoying Christmas this year with my brother inlaw and his son from Japan. They visited us for 8 days and we enjoyed the time together going fishing, shopping, playing at the park, shooting at the gun range, riding bikes, putting together puzzles, and having tasty meals together. We miss them a lot and are so happy when they can come visit. We definitely missed the girls and hope to see them sooner than later.

June is here!

As I type this blog I am sitting in my bed thinking about how quickly the last 10 years have gone. My twincesses will be 10 years old tomorrow! It's hard to believe that they're already so grown up. They wanted a birthday party with their friends this year, so we are planning a fun NEON themed party at the local basketball / softball field near our house. We have some fun games planned out that should make it a great party.

Little man is going to be 2 in three days! Man, time is seriously flying by, wasn't he just born!? He is such a character, we have a lot of fun with him. We'll have a time during the twins' party to sing to him and give him his own small cake :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
School is out in 2 weeks! This year has gone by quickly (I'm seeing a trend here...time goes so fast). They have this next week of lessons and then the final week will be mostly minimum days for tests and finishing up. I will be going with the older 3 to their water day, that last week, to The Ravine. We're all looking forward to that.
I officially finished Cuesta in December, but finally got to walk with my fellow graduates at the ceremony for us on May 18th. I'm still planning to get pictures of Jennalee and I in our garb for memories. I still don't feel like I actually did it sometimes. Even when I look back at my transcript and see ALL the classes I took. Its still surreal.
17 months and 12 years!
H will be 17 months in 10 days and C will be 12 years old in 9 days!
Days are just flying by around here. I cannot believe my first born is about to turn 12. He's enjoying Jr High and continuing in Archery this year. He's an amazing shooter and we are so proud of him, both academically and athletically.
H is continuing to grow and learn each day. He keeps us on our toes and is such a joyful little guy. He can be a stinker, but has the sweetest side that loves to cuddle and give kisses and hugs. He says more words and is learning more each day. He can point out his ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, head, arms, feet, and nose. He started "jumping" a few weeks ago and loves how excited we get watching him try to get off the ground.
Soooo close!!
I just started my last 2 classes before I get my AA in Business. I can't believe I'm at this point already. I started in the fall of 2015, took classes in spring 16, fall 16, spring 17, summer 17, and now finishing up fall 17! My last two classes are womens health and family & relationships psychology. One week down, 8 to go!!
Little man is 15 months!
I can't believe he's 15 months already. Time is sure flying by! He says all kinds of words now and just got 3 new teeth popping thru the last week or so, all molars! He can pretty much mimic what we say and do, which is a lot of fun for the kids. They taught him to say, "oh my gosh" a week ago and it's super cute. He also says wawa(water), yes, no, what's that, guckie (duckie), guck ( truck), cup, wow, look at that, hello, bye bye, more, down, light, ball, mama, gramma.
He took his first steps on our camping trip on mother's day and started walking by the 12th of June. He now climbs up on the fireplace, couch, and easy chair.
He still loves his doggy, bella, and cuddles and sleeping in our arms (but he's doing better about being put down for naps and bedtime). He's got a goofy spunky personality that you can't help but love!
 We had an eventful day on August 11th when he crashed into a cabinet at grandma's house and had to get 4 stitches :( He was a tough guy and made it thru the 3hrs at the ER like a champ. His head is healing up nicely with a clean scar that will most likely always be somewhat noticeable.  He definitely keeps us on our toes!
